French Days 2021

In 2018, six of France’s largest online retailers created a new sales event which was given the name of French Days. These large retailers were: Cdiscount, Rue de Commerce, La Redoute, Boulanger, Fnac-Darty and Showroomprivé.

The event was announced in the French magazine, Paris Match, as these brands’ answer to the great Black Friday event.

These sale days take place twice a year, the first of these is for 5 consecutive days around the 1st of May, and the second, during 4 consecutive days around the last weekend of September.

This year, 2021, they will take place from the 24th to 27th of September.

During this time, you can find big discounts in online retail on products relating to leisure, travel, cosmetics, decor, etc.

You only need to look at the figures from last year, 2020, relating to the most competitive sectors:

Small electrical goods and the health and beauty sector with up to 67% discount, followed by the electronics sector with up to 65% discount. Home and garden is another sector worth noting with up to 66% discount, and sports and outdoor activities with up to 57% discount. These figures are reflected in a study by idealo, a text service comparison company.

Would you like your business to be part of this event too?

Here is some advice that you should take into account:

  • As the name implies, French Days only take place in French. So if your brand is not from France, you should have your website and catalogue translated into French.
  • When you have chosen the products in your catalogue that you want to offer during those days and you are ready to advertise your offers; you should ensure that the quality of your texts is that of a native French speaker.

Be part of French Days and make the most of the last few months of the year. Here at BigTranslation, we offer you our translation service into French. Our native translators will make these days be the best for your business.
